When nothing but rain is in the forecast for the entire weekend, what do you do?
Well - plan a whole lot of nothing!
That was kind of our weekend. However, I did accomplish stuff. Guess it was kind of a DIY weekend for me.
We did our traditional Diner Saturday. We took Chris to work - took him to do his shopping - did our grocery shopping.
I was needing some coffee creamer so decided to try making my own. Hello Pinterest!
If you've read my blogs you know that sometimes my Pinterest projects are not just fails but major epic fails!
This link details my Pinterest fail of trying to have swirled nails. Not near as easy as Pinterest said it would be:

That link will take you to that particular post describing my little adventure.
And trying to make a watermelon boat with my cousin when we were visiting my Arizona daughter was even worse. I ended up with 7 stitches in my hand. I'll spare you a picture of that unless you are just adamant you want to see it.
However - these weekend projects went well.
I needed some sugar scrub. I can handle this one. I make it all the time. So I whipped up some lime-mint sugar scrub. I use this on my feet every day. Love using essential oils for different fragrances and then adding some food coloring to make it look pretty.
I was out of coffee creamer so decided I would try to make some. Found an easy recipe with only a few ingredients and then dozens of variations I could try. I decided to try Cinnamon Struesel Creamer.
Winner!! Winner!!! This one was a keeper as well.
I also spent some time in the garage working on a painting project. I am painting a bakers rack for Lily's bedroom. Little bit more work than I planned but I'm pleased with it so far. I had the garage door open while painting. My apologies to any neighbor who may have seen me trying to get up off the garage floor. I know it isn't a pretty sight. LOL
I also was able to get all the laundry done and used some of my new Norwex products to clean a few items around the house.
Gary and I actually sat down and watched a couple of movies on Netflix over the weekend as well.
So it may have been a very rainy weekend but I accomplished quite a bit, I think. Here's hoping for some drier weather so I can do some outside work.
So tell me, how did you spend your weekend?
